i dont know why this is happening but when im driviing normally and maybe holding a little boost, lets say 7 psi my wastegate will open up for a split second off and on during my driving...i have no idea why...i can tell because i have external dump and ill hear it ever couple minutes. any ideas?

Depending on what psi your car is set at that's normal. The wastegate is controlled by pressure, that's why you need a vacuum line hooked to it, and it slowly starts to open as it see's more and more pressure. Wastegate's don't just slam open and dump the gases out. Mine does the same thing when I get to about 13psi it starts opening even though it's set at 17.

not like that ill be drivin and it could be at any low number of boost...it will open for a split second and shut again...i know what u mean how it opens a little but its never done this before...

You have a weak spring then. How many miles is on your car?
