After locking the door in my 95 Talon TSi, the alarm (anywhere from 5 mins - 3 hours) will go off. Neighbors are pissed. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'll give it a shot. But if anyone else has an idea on how to fix it, let me know.

I looked in my user manual and I checked the fuse box... I don't have a fuse in that slot. Never have had one in there since I have had the car. It worked fine when I first got it about 6 months ago. Just decided to go crazy. Could the bumper out of allignment affect that?

Go back to where you got it from and tell them to fix it. Doesn't it have a warranty of any kind ? Maybe change the sensitivity settings if that's possible, maybe it's too sensitive.

It was just some crappy used dealer. Doesn't have any kind of warranty. I don't have a clue to how I would even start to adjust the sensitivity, but I really do appreciate the replies...keep them coming if you can. Meanwhile I will research the sensitivity option. Thanks again all.

wow i actually have the same exact problem. My damn alarm goes off at random all the time. It never did it in the prior 2 years of owning the car unitl i put my 97-99 front bumper on. I sort of came to the conclusion that it would only make sense that i must have messed up a sensor of some sort. In fact i have read that there is an alarm sensor located somewhere near the front bumper, maybe but again i really don't know, but i'm interested in a possible fix, so keep me posted.

mine used to go off randomly, till it actually got broken into, now it wont go off unless its armed and you open the door or hood from the inside.

Sooo far it is fixed. It did turn out to be that sensor underneath the hood. I have some pics...I don't know if they will work or not. But it is right above the driver's side headlight. Thank you all once again. DSMers are #1!!!!
