I just got my TSi not too long ago, and I completely forgot they had stock alarms. The other day I reached in the window to unock it and got quite the surprise when the thing went off. Now I've read up on them and know how they work more, so I was testing it, and last night it went off and I deactivated it by turning the key in the door lock like youre supposed to and it worked, but then today I was showing my friend and I couldnt get the alarm to activate. Like I locked the doors, the green "security" light came on, and I reached in and unlocked it, but no alarm. Whats going on?

check the lock sensor on the back of the key lock it might has fallen off...

That happened to might only it fallen off in the locked position, so it went off everytime i unlocked to door!!! :thumbdown

I don't know if you misunderstood me, but what I meant was my alarm turns off fine if it is sounding and I turn the key in the lock, but most of time when the green security light is on and I unlock my door through the window the alarm won't sound, it just opens right up.

when the green security light comes on, you have to wait about 20 seconds from when it goes off for it to activate....... also, when you open the door does your floor light and dome/mirror lights light up? if they dont you might want to check the door sensor that's located on the bottom right of your driver side door. it's a little black nubby thing. sometimes they get stuck in and will cause the alarm/car not "know" the car door is open. good luck
