Do yourself a huge favor and keep your stock ES harness and just modify it as necessary.
 
I modified the original's harness, put in knock sensor, fpr regulator wire, and the 7th Air Meter wire. the engine is in and bolted up, the front mount is on and I'm working on the Intercooler piping right now, real PITA! the 6 bolt engine/tranny just bolted up without any modifications, almost done, I still need to install halfshafts, knock sensor, FPR, fill Tranny and power steering fluid, bleed the clutch and it should be done, the ECU swap was no prob to do either, I'll keep you posted.
 
well, car started up yesterday :thumb: so now I just need to hook up the exhaust and bleed the clutch and it should be ready to go!

with the 16G and a FMIC I was thinking my initial boost would be stock until I'm sure everything will work ok, then I was thinking of running 14PSI, I have the 450cc injectors so I didn't want to go to high, also, when you guys turboed your cars did you change the fuel pump? it worked fine for 8PSI on the 13g but now that I have the 16G I was thinking the fuel pump couldn't flow enough to keep up? does anyone have the exact specs of the flow difference between the N/T and Turbo fuel pumps? many people say on or the other so I want facts if anyone has them.
 
I don't know the exact flow rates but I know it can't handle stock boost on a 14b. I was knocking like crazy. Changed to a 255LPH and the knock went away and the power was unleashed.

yeah, I already fixed that, I couldn't believe I was so excited to take it for a run that I did that LOL Oil was EVERYWHERE! The silver pipe was originally my intake pipe for my non-turbo and I forgot to put it on the new intake!
 
I put a Wire Loom around them since then, I just didn't take a pic of it, I wanted the people trying this conversion to see where I put the Wires, out of the way of everything else.

So, what does everyone think of the conversion?

My next step is to change the fuel pump, only thing is is that last time I tried this w/a FWD DSM the bolts were so rusted that vice grips didn't even take them off, I had to grind off the bolts then drill and tap the holes, any suggestions with this? yes, I did use WD-40 last time.

I'm looking for around 280 - 320 HP I was thinking 190LPH/550's and a 2G Maf w/18PSI and a AFPR should get me there right?
 
PB Blaster, not WD40 soak the screws for a week before you do the install, if not longer won't hurt.

2g mas should be good for 400 hp so I think your good there. You will at least need an AFC too to control the injectors. 550's and 2g mas is close but no cigar for a good tune. I don't see why this car should have any less potential than a factory turbo car.
 
It's usually not the bolts which are the problem, but the rusted line. If you are having issues with the bolts, goodluck with the line.
