Well i think its time to take the big step. The timeing belt was done about 1000 miles ago. First my curent performance mods:

-Extream Cat back
-Injen Intake
-Greddy Type S
-Extreme MBC
-Dejon IC Pipes
-Aeromotive FPR
-Wolbro 255 lph HP
-End Cluch Kit and Valve body shift kit
Plus
-Apex TT, Greddy EGT, FUEL pres, and Boost gauge.

Now here is what I plan to install in the next month or two:

FP EvoIII16 G
APG IC Kit
MAFT Blow through set up
Large Air Oil cooler and remote filter
RNR O2 Eliminator 3" Down pipe
Magnaflow High flow 3" Cat

what do you guys think? How much boost do you think i could run on this setup? Im thinking somethign conservative like 12 or so until i get new injectors and some datalog tuning software (ECU+ or DSM LINK) will this setup beable to run for a while while i work on the next few mods? I will realy apretiate it if some of the seasoned tuners could chime in. Thanks.

Jason you have good ideas but you need some order with them.
The EVO b16g is a good choise and will deffinetly get you into the low 12s with tuning
Now I would keep your 2g mass air insted of the blow thew just my oppinion guys run 11s on the 2g mass. So you will save money there
As far as the exhaust goes I would run a 2.5" elim down pipe with test pipe no cat. The reason being is with a 3" you will run into boost creep with that 16g. 2.5 elim is all you need unless you go with a 50 trim then a 3" would be acceptable. I would go 3" cat back though. The 2.5 guys have run greens with then and turn 11s
AGP FMIC is fine.
I would at least get a pocket logger to keep tabs on your knock its cheep and can see whats going on insted of guessing.
If you cant do any of your fuel or tuning mods you will be limited on you boost level to about 15-16 psi to be safe with that FMIC. once you get the injectors you will be able to crank it up to 18 on the steet and higher at the track with race fuel
720cc fuel injector clinic injectors along with a APEX SAFC or dsm link to tune with

man i havent been called by name befor, its all good.

to clarify i hope people read my orginal tread as talkign about 12 psi, not seconds.

the think is i already have the downpipe, have had it for a while. i have heard that the issue with boost creep is that the ot houseing is restrictive, while in my o2 eliminator the case is the oposite.

Thanks for the help. also keep in mind that this plan is preliminary i dont see myself going for more then say 3 months or so before uping the tuning/fuel package.

If you can afford it, and find a 95 EPROM ECU, this would be a good time to get DSMLink. Well, any time is a good time, but with the soon to be need for more than backing the screw in and out tuning, theres not a better way to go. If its this or fuel first, get the ability to spit more fuel, and control the it, first, then put this stuff on. Its a much safer route in my opinion.

The creep issue can be taken care of for the most part with a good port job and 34mm flapper, or better yet an external wastegate will completely eliminate that issue. Any time you open the exhaust up more, you'll invite creep just a little more too, because you're making it that much easier for it to go past the wastegate's tiny little opening and out the big hole on the bottom. You might consider getting a 34mm flapper and an O2 dump, this would be a good option as well IMO.

You might try to find an oil cooler off a 1990 1G, they came stock. they arent big, but it's more than you have now, and a lot cheaper from a junkyard. Dunno if thats good enough for you or not, just another option.

Without upgraded injectors, i wouldnt go over 15psi, so staying at 12psi like you said is perfectly fine. Also, a 2.5 dp would be better if you dont want to worry about boost creep so much. As for the MAFT setup, skip it and use that money to upgrade your fuel system faster imo. Lastly, i went with a bushur SS 2.5 high flow cat and love it, plus its only 90 bucks now on clearance.

Hey man, i noticed you live in Gaithersburg. So do i. We should meet up sometime.

Yeah im game. I plan on going up to 75 80 once i finish the short term job im working on, or whatever, its nice there there are some hardcore dsmers around here.

meaby i should have clarifyed this when i first wrote of my planed upgrades

FP EvoIII16 G
APG IC Kit
MAFT Blow through set up
Large Air Oil cooler and remote filter ***
RNR O2 Eliminator 3" Down pipe ***
Magnaflow High flow 3" Cat ***

The stared ones have been purshased.
I am a little concered about the creep that everyone has been talking about. I have read elsewhere that keeping a cat, and having a high flowing 02 housing will fix the problem. the tub from the wastegate port on my RNR is gotta be like an 1.5" id. It seems odd that one would want some restricion in the exhaust area, while none in the o2 area.

I gues i should look into porting, I herd that the 34 mm flapper can cause problems with regulating boost?

well i have been thinking about what you guys are saying, and its my feeling that if one cant afford to do something right its not worth doing. In addition i am not a big fan of creep. so i have decided to not go for the maft setup to save money, as well as swich to an FP Big t-28 and dejon tool front mount kit. I think i would end up saving 6 or 700 bucks on this change of plans, plus ill beable to deal with the inevitable costs.
