My slicks... greatest buy ever (fwd)

I have been running M&H 24.5x9.5.15 slicks on Kosei k-1's. I have a horrible time with traction. With the boost set to 30 psi, I spin the slicks in third at over a 100 mph. To run 11's, I had to back the boost down to 24 psi. I have run the slicks from 9psi ("hey, your tires flat") to 15 psi, and the lower worked better. I would suggest that anyone who is going to make some serious power, not go with M&H tires and use a 13" wheel for more side wall. I believe a 24.5 on a 13" would be great, though this is just theory because I have never used it.

Not picking, but just so you understand, it's tread wear, not thread wear.

Just wondering, where do you get that a stock fwd weighs 3150? My car weighs in at 2972 with a half tank of gas and me in the drivers seat. Unless the driver weighs 300 pounds... 3150 is a little much. Unless you have some really big subs, or 24 inch chrome wheels...

well, saying my buddies 10,000$ turbo'd GSR hatchback pulled a 1.8 60' foot is fine and dandy, but you have to remember that the car weighs 800 lbs less that a eclipse. It is alo easyer to move less weight around more quickly..For example
turbotalaon 92 ran 11.9@121. HE dynoed at over 400 whp. The day I ran a 12.6@112 was at this years shootout. Those who were thier saw my car and know it was hot. like 85 or somethin. I dynod at 210whp THAT DAY on that moble dyno thing. I was rockin all stock talon junk. Now consider
1)Is it going to take ma another 200whp to drop .6 and run an 11?

This is why hondas are over rated. They weigh nothin and still go nowhere. No to knock on ur friends honda, but how much did it really cost him to run that 12.8? I ran 12.6 fo rwhat it cost him to get that GSR motor, and thats including the car! ( I bought the colt for 50$)
