My RPM Problems (Video Inside)

When my car gets a cold start, this is what it does. Sorry, its a cell phone video

Hahahah Jesus, that is one wicked idle surge you have there. I had the same problem, replaced the ISC and wham problem fixed.

I am just stating what I did to solve my problem. There are about 10-15 other things it could be. Read over this thread, it helped me out a ton.

It also instantly died on me twice before it would even go to that....once the engine gets a little warmed up it completely stops.

Check your biss. I had the same idle surge along with a dead isc but i replaced the biss and o-ring no more idle surge.

Same here if its cold out i have to 1st crank it for a couple seconds, then itll run for 1/2 a sec then die. It does this multiple times before i can get it running completely.
Those are signs of bad coolant temp sensor the one that sends a signal to the ecu, not the gauge one. My problem is also a fuel pressure issue.

check the following and i am sure your problem will be fixed:

1- TPS
2 ISC
3 BISS Screw
4- Coolant Temp sensor
5- check for boost leaks
6- check your injectors if they are not clogged by unplugging them one by one at a time and check for difference in idle.
7- ECU ( if it has leakage in the capicators) keep this as a last option after checking everything.

one of the above will be your problem.
