My quest for a 10 second DSM questions

Im looking to build a full out track car capable of running 10's or better. Can anyone give me the rundown on some of basic things I will need. My parts list is as follows:

t67 turbo
unknown intercooler
unknown wastegate
FIC fuel rail
FIC 1000cc injectors
Wallbro 255lph w/ rewire
Eagle crank
Weisco pistons
Eagle H beam rods
280/280 cams
adjustable cam gears


And thats about all I got right now. My biggest concern is making sure I get the RIGHT parts needed for this build. I dont want to skimp out on something cheap, nor do I want to get something that cant withstand power or psi (25-30)


Any suggestions folks?
 
I believe there are no gas station that sell E85 close to Providence, RI. I don't even think that Rhode Island has any E85 distributors.

You are correct, no E85 is sold from the pump in RI.

The closest pump is near Boston.

That sucks. :ohdamn: You can always get a drum of e85 sent to you though. Speaking e85 is $1.99 where I am, and premium is $3.09 it's a pretty good deal. (Should be around $110 bucks for 55 gallons) I know a few gas companies will do that for people that are wanting e85 and there is no pump locally for them.

Too bad my cobra doesn't run e85 :mad:
 
Yeah ive been looking into a lot of things. Ive been doing nonstop research about this, and I gotta say, it doesnt really take too much to run 10's
 
^^^whoa whoa whoa back up there. realize that there is a lot of stuff needed to go 10's and not break all the time. one thing to not do is go into a ten second project thinking it's easy.

Don't mean to pick, but was that a miss type because I have never heard of a 05 Ram half-ton diesel truck!

ain't that the truth, but just throwing a bunch of parts together won't get him a 10 second pass. i'm sure he understands that along with these parts comes a lot of fine tuning to get the car to do what he wants without breaking.:thumb:
 
Why is boost pressure always a goal???

You really dont even need a built motor to go 10s, but its insurance.

Stock ignition has went plenty far...aka 9.0@160 if not faster then that on a 35r powered n20 dsm.

I street drive a 4294 in a 5spd and its easily street car.

With a good tune 10s will happen on a t67 on pump gas 93 nothing else.
 
thats the problem with this website nobody gives newbies with no tuner experience a chance anymore. no i never owned a honda and i could have come off as a sort of dick... no im not a trust fund baby ive had to buy everything ive had in life... and i do this buy busting my a$$ everyday at work.. but everytime something doesnt meet someones expectations 15 people arnt afraid to tell them there wrong and what they should do different... in the world i was brought up in "you get what u pay for" im not a electrical genius by any means and aem is plug and play... which makes instalation easier for me... i have posted many times about help and nobody ever steps to the plate... what situation does that leave me??? as for the aem ems i dont know how to tune and i dont really know the difference between aem and dsm link but the guy who tunes it is tech support for aem so call me an A$$ FOR PAYING SOMEONE but id rather not have my beautiful gsx blown up becuase of newbie error... thanks for the support by the way the gsx is for sale now...60000 miles mint body and interior... no rust... cleanest 1g youlll see ... pm with offer

I have a Fuelab fuel system on mine. I have a actual Borg Warner S366 has not seen the track though. I see it as, go big with you fuel pump you dont want to not have enough fuel, or have to redo your fuel system later when you wanna go bigger in power.:)
