hello everybody, this is my 1991 eagle talon tsi. So i may be a little late on starting a build thread, for the most part my 6 bolt is already built and set up for street use and as a daily driver. this all started in september of 2012 and was built by myself and Darren at FFWD.
Engine:
FFWD short block
2g pistons
stock 6 bolt rods
balance shaft elimination
272 DKS cams
1mm oversize valves
evo III 16g (for now)
evo III ported o2 with external waste gate dump
Tial BOV
ARP studs and bolts
Transmission:
TMZ performance stage 2 transmission
ACT 2100 clutch
SS clutch line
excedy clutch master cylinder
redline fluids
Suspension/brakes:
KYB gas struts
H&R lowering springs (needs more low)
SS brake lines
EBC pads
stock rotors
Tuning:
DSM link v3
MAF translator - gm3 bar map/gm maf
Misc:
bridgestone potenza tires on enkei wheels
bridgestone blizzak snow tires on acura rsx wheels
home made trailer hitch ball shift knob - yeah its heavy
infinity speakers/ amp
battery located in trunk
VIS carbon fiber hood - invader style
stock side mount intercooler
Mishimoto dual fan shroud w/ Mishimoto fans
now for some pictures of my girl!

no camera filters, this is what she looked like shortly after the engine was completed.

and then an old lady decides to lock up her brakes at a green light!

picked up a used VIS carbon fiber hood, some of you may or may not recognize it..
as well as that front bumper..

transmission is out and ready to be massaged by Tim at TMZ performance.

and this is why the transmission is going to TMZ, the broken diaphragm spring caused me to blow up the 4th gear synchro at the track, and bend the 1/2 shift fork.

finally, on to an engine pic. took this shortly before attending Cupcake meet 2013, and i was one of only two dsm's at the meet.
more to come! stay tuned.
here is how she currently sits, with a blown up evo III 16g. not quite sure how it blew up, i just started it one cold morning and it was smoking like crazy. always let the turbo spool down and the engine idle for about 30 seconds before turning it off. parts from FP are on order to rebuild the 16g, and in the mean time...my holset h1c is at the diesel turbo shop getting inspected and rebuilt as well. which will soon replace the 16g.
