Has anyone stuck with and done a build on the 4g37? Im sure the best thing would to do a swap where can i get the best swap info at?

anyways im new here just bought an all stock 1990 eclipse gs and for its loos it is gutless, i am an autocrosser and used to drive a sohc honda and enjoyed it but if there is no use for these sohc motors ill do a swap. Mother in laws boyfriend has the motor from a 1990 talon and is turboed i can get for cheap but where should i look for info onboth of these issues? thanks

A swap to a 4g63t motor will cost you as much as just getting another turbo dsm of your year or newer.
Not saying this to put you down, just trying to save you time, money, and headaches.
Sell it and get a gst or gsx. Search the dsm classifieds.

Im actually thinking about staying with the sohc for some reason, . Does anybody know of a turbo build with one?

There really isn't much aftermarket support for the 4g37 engine. If anything you will have to custom-make everything yo wish to do to it. Good luck.

i can get a 90 talon with the dohc n/t. Will the tranny off of my 1.8 work?

The 4G37 like stated above has no mods what so ever or very little. Its also not even in the same engine family. You could look for the SOHC 4G63, 4G61T(1.6), or the 4G67(1.8). Either way you have to make an extensive swap, so if your going to do a swap do the 4G63T swap.
