My log below:
Don't worry about the log starting at 5200rpm, everything below that point is not a problem right now. What may be a problem is that base timing is set to 5*, and I am seeing 26* of timing by redline on 91octane and SBR FMIC. I think this is too much and dont want to damage the motor. Input please.

What size are your injectors? Usually when you install too big of injectors like 880s you will have high ass timing due to high corrections.

My ecu would shoot for about 25+deg timeing with only 550's. This would cause knock under most conditions. My correction with afc the ecu was seeing 20% less air, yours is more than 30% so the problem is likely worse. You need to get a eprom with chip, dsm link, stand alone, to compensate for injectors. Eprom solved my problem. If your not getting knock or pulled timing, with the high timing, than it is not doing any damage now, but say conditions change, hot temps, higher boost, leaks, ect, you could start to have problems. Moving your base timing to 1-2 deg seemed to help me before eprom though. With lower timing you should be able to run a little more boost before seeing knock.

What about decreasing the fuel pressure, and then increasing the AFC back up a bit?

What are the column headings on this log? You are leaving out a key piece of information. What is your knock? If you can run 26* of timing with no knock, that's great! Leave it alone. You are running too much timing when you start knocking. The fact that your ECU is increasing the timing as the RPM's go up tells me you must not have much--I'm not sure on your ECU mods though. Log knock next time too. Timing is power. I'll bet that think was pulling good, huh?

Ecu is stock. I am a 2g so I cannot log knock.

Correction: you have a 2G without DSMLink, so you can't log knock. Your problem is that you are lying so much to the ECU to compensate for the injectors that you're still on a map that is shooting for high timing. Other than getting a better timing/fuel computer (did I mention DSMLink?), the idea of lowering fuel pressure so you can lie less seems your only option.

If you want to decrease the timing up top you can always take some out of the base timing. I'm running 2* base ignition timing because I was also seeing way too much timing and knock up top.

As far as I know, you can't remove base timing on the 98 w/ out a 1G CAS. Correct me if I'm wrong...

The AFPR thing is all you can do at this point otherwise save some cash for the Link like me:p

I have a 1g CAS on a 2g and running the baro mod. The baro mod fixed the "random misfire" problem associated with the 1g in a 2g, but made tuning a little more difficult as now the car sees so little incoming air volume due to the decreased barometric pressure.
