If you don't wish for people to infer based on your vagueness; don't be vague. I read, as did others, that you do not pull your share. Note the other responses along this line. And yes, 27k is small $, but I can't see rentals in that part of PA being that much more than downtown Chapel Hill. I got by on a 20s salary for years, but I lived withing my means.

I get the feeling that you think you're owed something, like many others have said or alluded to. We're all in the same boat, some just overcome and persevere rather than spending time laying blame and fishing for sympathy. For as "bad" as you have it, I promise you there are people on this very forum that are worse off, job hunting, recently laid off, etc. That said, I don't think I've ever seen this level of bellyaching over something you have FULL CONTROL over. You're making our own bed. It starts with your shitty attitude and outlook, spews onto the forums, and likely carries over to real life.

Blame everyone; do nothing...NOT the American way.

Ya rentals are a lot down here. And those are the mediocre ones. Actual nice places where you have to be of a certain class to even be allowed to live there are usually $2,500 for a one bedroom unit. In the actual business township where I work prices are even higher. If you think I'm entitled you should see the other people here. Coming more from this area and growing up spoiled brats, they're even worse. I grew up with nothing and my mom spent all my SS money on decorating the house, so I am far from spoiled. I am entitled because the SS money was in my name and while there was a roof over my head, that is just a bare minimum. I'm entitled to see all that money some how, some way.

Everyone has their own attitudes. I think people who have attitudes like everyone against what mine is are just brown nosing sheep who will let themselves be walked all over just because there are rules in place. Well screw that. The rules weren't in place when I started, so they should only apply to new people. I don't give a shit if everyone says I'm a brat. Good for you, you can insult me over the internet based on what I write and what you read. I choose not to live like a poor schmuck idiot who cooks crappy food at home. That's not the life I want to live. Single people are always said to have more money, which is downright false. I am entitled and I will get my fair share for doing nothing, end of story.

Man grow a pair and go into work, tell your manager to eat 3hit and die, then quit and fine another job!
Do it!....Do it!

There's a difference between playing by/within the rules and being a "brown-noser".

Should =/= do

You get 8hrs a day on the clock. Clock in accordingly.

I choose not to live like a poor schmuck idiot who cooks crappy food at home. That's not the life I want to live.
You'd rather bi*** about salary, housing, and various other things in life we all deal with. We get it. You're a "rebel"; a real "black sheep" who goes against the grain because conformity is unacceptable. :|
I am entitled and I will get my fair share for doing nothing, end of story.

You know, I'm firm in my belief that you are BipolarII. I'd seek medication. No, it's not for "sheeple", or whatever lame comeback you may put forth, it helps physical connections in the brain take place.

More so, I think you just like the attention and debate.:hmm:

Medication is unacceptable. Connections are fine in my brain. Just because I don't conform to what some ass hat psychologists think is normal doesn't mean I'm not. Medication makes someone something they're not, a dumbed down boring idiot, easy to control and manipulate. Medications make people's minds worse off than street drugs. I give respect as I get it. If I don't get it I don't give it. I've already quit jobs because they wanted me to help in other departments, stuff that wasn't in my job descriptions. I simply said F you to the manager and walked out, and guess what, I was hired back at that place. They asked me to come work for them again. Once I get sick enough of it here I will do just that. My attitude DOES suck, but I don't give a shit, my work shows for itself and that matters just as much as attitude.

Its just the companys way of taking a bit of the power you had by having the freedom to come in early and making it theirs by regulating something more. Bureaucrats love to regulate stuff because they having nothing else to do, and the resulting regulations usually just cause problems.

Wow. Just, wow.

You're obviously right. We're on page 5 of this abortion because of bureaucrats, not because of time management. LOL

Ya it's all still being ironed out. These rules will fall and it won't be because of my bitching, it will be because of all the managers not wanting to babysit the times and showing HR how much of a pain in the ass it is. I will conform, and only bi*** if my pay shows less than 40 hours, since it's been told, and mentioned here that my punches will just be edited out to 40. Psychologists are more insane than the patients themselves. They have to be.

Too many things to quote individually

Jesus tap-dancing Christ on a cracker...

I hope that you are just an epic troll and don't actually believe 1/2 the BS you post... That would still make you one sad s.o.b. but at least then it would mean that you don't have some kind of psychological disorder like you currently appear to.

If you aren't trolling: Get the #### over yourself and your entitlement/persecution complex. The world doesn't owe you a damn thing just for being born. You want something in life then sack-up and go do something to earn it like everyone else does.

Boo-hoo you don't like your job-- a lot of people don't like their jobs but they put in their 8 hours each day and stfu about it until they find a job they do like. Don't like your current situation in life then go do something proactive to change it. Or just keep whining about it online like a little bi*** while on company time.

There are plenty of people who would kill to have all your "problems".

No disorder, just an individual. I believe everything I spew, because I say it in the first place. Don't like my attitude? I don't give a shit. Go try to convince someone else with a bad attitude to change, because I never will.

Boss: Ramsack if you could just move your office to the basement, that would be gggrreeeaaaatttt!
Ramsack: mmmm my stapler.... don't take my stapler...ok i'm gonna burn the place down!

...5 pages later, common sense takes hold?

...nevermind.

Lol this guy is so funny, minimum of $1500/month rent for a 1 bedroom in your area huh? I googled your area, closest major city I could find on Craigslist to compare off of is Williamsport, look at what I found for ya in less than 5 minutes!

Nice Home for Rent

Townhouse-Utilities Included

Gibson Home for Rent

That last one is a 4br, for 1375/mo... Dude, that is just about $350/mo per person.

Only problem I see from your rant on there, is that you probably don't have any friends that would wanna get a place with you LOL.

Well, I guess it's cause im in the military...but I get paid 24/7. So they can pretty much work me however long they see neccessary.

As an Air Traffic Controller in the USAF, I can only legally work position for 10 hours before I turn into a pumpkin. However, they can always find something else for me to do. So instead of complaining about working 10 hours, you accept it and come into work the next day ready to do it again. During exercise weeks I regularly work 12 hours a day with a 12 hour turn around. I do this while wearing chem gear (mask suit gloves etc). Not very comfortable...but its all part of the job.

Volunteer: This is what every person does when they apply for a job. Nobody forced you to work there.

I do agree that it isn't appropriate for a business to change a policy as severe as one's pay without consulting its employee's. That is lack of care and it also lowers overall morale...something any manager SHOULD care about.

A job is what you put into it. I guess after years of the Military...it instills certain values into the person. I am thankful for this cause it makes me a more pleasant person to work with...which in turn makes my job easier.

Williamsport is not close whatsoever to where I work or where I even live. It's 150 miles away. When I laid carpet most of the jobs were in the area that I work now, they were all commercial jobs (apartments), so I know the prices of the units. You still have cable, electric, gas, water. Most places have separate meters for everything, that's how I know utilities aren't included. This is a rich person area I work in.

I agree with all but the bolded text. Some of us bust ass at work, even if we have a second window open with a forum in it. (or third, or fifth)

In general the majority of the IT workforce are maintainers/repairers. Unless you are an engineer or developer, you do little work.

I am a maintainers/repairers with a tiny scratch of development experience. I have actually written shell scripts to do my maintenance for me. So I do even less work than you're average maintainers/repairers. The exception of this is when someone like the vendor screws up the hardware.... EI: Chenbro sent us about oh... 500 or so servers with the wrong riser card. They had to be manually opened up and replaced with the new riser card which, of course was provided by Chenbro. Now if only I could script hardware repairs......

I started out doing work. Writing Perl programs to take scanned barcodes and store them in a CSV. Writing tutorials for certain shit. Nothing I did was ever used, and I wasn't asked to do anything more than my forum job. I filled for reception for a few weeks when they were looking to hire for that, sorting mail. They even told me not to get off my ass for any reason. They even offered for me to work at home for half salary, but I turned it down, and now the offer is gone. Punched in at 9:50 today, gonna leave at 5:50, if it shorts me then I will bi***.

I don't get it, you are bitching about having to monitor 10 forum posts in an 8 hour span? Why don't you find something more useful to do with your time at work instead of bitching on here to people you don't even listen to? Why don't you find someway online to make money in your free time. Maybe write some programs to sell online or something. Bet on sports, i don't know. Just be productive.

Because I'm not good at programming. Stuff like Perl can only do so much. Ya gotta have money to bet money. I don't gamble, I have crap for luck.

This sounds like why our Operations staff is always in responsive mode, and I'm the "annoying guy" for being proactive. ;)

Well this morning I punched in at 9:50, which is within the rules of a 10-minute grace period. So I punched out at 5:50, and guess what? 7.83 hours!

Grace period just means you are allowed to punch in that early to avoid punching in late...

It does NOT mean you get 10 minutes..

Yep, you're still stupid...

If it didn't work the last time you tried to go over 7 minutes.. Why would it work now? :ohdamn:Maybe your company put this system in place just to find out who the idiots are and hopefully they'll be calling you up soon.. Its like a test, a test that you have epically failed thus far.

Im salary. I get paidvthe same wether I work 40 he's or my normal 48
