Hi, yesterday i took my headlights off and restore them by sanding it down and using chemicals to make it new again. today i went to install it back onto my eclipse, plug everything in and now my 8k hids don't work anymore. why is it like this? is it maybe becuase i got the wires went when i was wet sanding it? but its seems dry now so i dont know why. can someone please help. Thank you

You probably have one of those cheap ebay kits like i do. I had to take mine lights out, bumper apart and they stopped working, but I kept playing with the wires and connections and they came back on again and have been fine ever since. I figure I was lucky, and if it hadn't worked I was ready to replace the kit and buy another one.

oh nice. but were your wires wet? because mine were yesterday but its dry now i think. so you just unplug and put it back in and out? and yes i have the ebay hid lights LOL.

can anyone else give some advice? i been trying to get it to work but i just dont understand why its still not working? am i suppose to drive around or something to charge up the ballast? i have no idea im a nub. help is appreciated :)

No, I don't think they got wet, I have no idea what the problem was. But the kit was pretty straightfoward, only one way to plug things in. The hardest part was integrating it into the stock harness.

Lol Thanks guys. The polarity was the problem. I switched the switch and now everything works again! :) At first I didn't understand because it seem to me when i plugged it, it was in the correct way, but i guess it was the other way. Thanks again my dsm brothers! :hellyeah:
