Ok, so my motor took a crap and it was time to pull it, with 122,000 miles and an automatic transmission + all wheel drive, this is a task!! I had a few friends come over and give me a hand. All and all it wasn't too bad. Took about 4 hours total and we actually didn't break anything. I tried to get as many pictures as i could, i had a disposible camera and a digital camera that sucked so heres the pics from the digital one, the other pics will be up soon. Altogether i'd say this really wasn't that hard at all!!

yeah and i mean it was the first time ever, i've never even taken the axles out! or the suspension apart so. Not to shabby huh, what do you guys think?
 
WOW thats not too bad i was planning on pullin my motor also seeing how it didnt take yall to long to do it makes me ponder to do it myself. What was a PITA parts of thye job
 
well the only problem was
1. getting the transfer case off...kinda tough
2. getting the axles out...not to bad though
3. having to low of a garage ceiling!!! LOL it hit the top!!
other then that it was smooth sailing

plans are evo 8 pistons, big 1g rods, metal HG and fp1 cams
 
thats cool i think that i will also do this my self seeing how the trans will be out for clutch and lsd replacement.. thanks for hte info Jason

pssst. add a 5spd conversion :thumb: jk man auto's are cool too.......if u run 7's or lower :p good luck with the project man
