my first dsm...help needed

i just bought a 94 eclipse N/A. i wanna do a mixture of looks and performance but i was just wondering what parts have worked for most people and what all would i need to make this a turbo engine. this is my first dsm because im use to driving hondas with very easy engines. thank you. also how could i upgrade the ecu without replacing it.

good intentions, I suppose. The FIRST thing any new DSMer should do is to do MAINTENANCE. Make sure your car is up to par before you start fooling with it.
