I would like to share my comments of removing the motor and trans out of a 92 Eclipse.
Basically it was straight forward. I have done several rwd stuff , not so much fwd stuff.
I have only been on this board a short time, but have read so much, both good info and what I would say are post counters BS.
Anyhow, The two things that cost me time that I feel may be benificial are, the exhaust "J" pipe.
Simple, remove two nuts off the studs and the pipe should drop. sure it has been sealed w many heat cycles. I couldn't get it to break loose. Hammer, penetrating oil, and heat wouldn't break it loose. DUH, there is a clamp that goes around the pipe w a tab that is attached to a bracket that goes to the block.
The other thing was I tried to leave the tranny bracket attached. I removed it and the trans didn't get hung up.
Hope this helps someone.
