My car smokes and keeps eating oil.

Okay I'm not to keen on the works of the engine yet so i could use some help. I bought my car about 3 or 4 weeks ago with a rebuilt 6 bolt engine that has around a 1000 miles on it now. It smokes and eats oil. I have put at least 10 quarts of oil in it. I know it's burning some cause the smoke is blue. Once i fill it up it only takes about a day to get off the dip stick again. My friends have helped me work on it and so far all we have done is put a restricter in the oil feed to the turbo and ran a compression test. The test showed the car is making good compression. There aren't any leaks or anything that I can find. If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated. I need to fix it soon before I start doing this

If it is burning oil so bad, the bad thing is your valve seals...

I need more info...this is just a guess..!!
Can also be your piston rings, the could have been put on wrong....

Sounds like bad valve seals or bad piston rings. Do a little pull in your car and do some engine braking from like 5000rpm down to 2000rpm. If it starts smoking really bad then its most likely your rings. Do you notice any oil on the ground in the mornings before you drive it?

Pretty sure your valve seals are toast man. I wouldnt be surprised if when the motor was rebuilt they bypassed installing new valve seals.
