My car feels like its missing what could it be

I recently bought this car about 2 months ago it seemed to get sluggish when in second gear @ the time. Now it feel sluggish all the time it seems to be missing, when ever its at idle it runs like its missing and then when I give it gas it will stop but when I push the pedal further down its kinda bogs out and through all this still sounds like its missing. Could it be the fuel pump or off time or just a bad engine all together. So far I have checked the spark plugs to see if the were bad they are still good the only thing is the spark plugs were filled with oil so I replaced the valve cover gasket and spark plug seals also the PVC valve and fixed some emission lines that had cracks in them but the problem is still there what do I do

Yeah I know what your saying, My Talon was doing the same thing for awhile, theres actually alot of threads on this forum about this. I recently changed the plugs,wires, and cleaned the coil pack really really good,scrapping any kind of crap out and using electrical cleaner. Im gonna change the coil pack with a new one, but for now my car is running like new after just making those few changes. Of course its possible it could be something else, but I would definitly go back and check those over again,or change all those to new ones if u havnt already. Its a common problem for dsms' to be missing like that, but go ahead and give that a try. Like I said my car did that for the longest time, but after those minor adjustments shes running better then when I think I bought her. Hope this helps alittle

yeah I was having the same problem for a while. I re-wired the fuel pump and cleaned upthe coil packs and it runs great!

what did you use to clean the coil and which part did you clean
