car feels like its gonna bounce off the road

whenever i hit a bump the car bounces and jerks around really bad, any idea what would be causing this? Thanks

do you have adjustable shocks and struts? if you do it sounds like they are set too stiff.

Yes, you have blown struts. Automotive suspension 101.

they are the stock strusts and springs, so my best bet would to just buy new ones thanks

If you were a professional pogo sticker this wouldnt even be a problem, but obviously your not, just one more thing you should seriously consider working on.

How many miles on the car? It might be a good idea to replace springs at the same time.

could also be if someone put lowering springs that are to small or tried to cut the stock springs to lower the car and the struts are bottoming out.

had this problem on a 3000gt with the same effect
