Looking very nice bro. Need to start a thread here on mine once it's gets passed inspection.

Turning the key today, stay tuned..

Turned the key.. and the fitting that threads into the fuel filter is leaking. I need some type of oring to shove on the line and then thread back in.

The hard fuel line must be cracked. Regardless, I forgot I bought ss braided line so I put that in, and it worked. My return line off the fpr is leaking though cause its to big, so hupefully get some 1/4" today(monday). The car did start and ran no problem aside from pissing fuel. Should be able to take it for a ride tonight.

Been busy over the last week, so here goes.
Got everything together and ready on sunday.

Go to start it, no fuel. Forgot to plug in my sensor when i did the pump LOL.

Start it again, turns over first try, can here something leaking. Fuel feed line that goes into fuel filter is cracked. Put on SS braided line from tank to filter, problem solved.

Start it again. Fuel return line is leaking. Used 5/16" hose, needed 1/4". No biggie.

Monday night: Route my new fuel lines(had it coming up and over the side for test purposes), notice a small leak from the fitting for my oil pressure gauge. Over tighten the female>male fitting going into my oil filter housing, and crack the housing.

Tuesday: disassembled the pass side engine mount, water pump, crank pulley, removed timing cover, removed housing.

Thursday: Housing comes in, everything back together. Turn the key, set fuel pressure, set idle, purge coolant system of air. Everything is running great. Excess coolant that over flowed was being burnt, and didnt seem to go away. Take blow gun and air out all little crevices, still smoke. Take gun to rad, smoke billows out. The aluminum rad i bought was leaking from the core.

I said screw it, did the base timing, and emailed the company friday morning about there POS product. They sent another one no questions asked, coming from calgary so should be here tuesday.

Realistically, I could drive the car if I wanted to, but I want everything to be perfect. I know I've promised lots of pictures, and I;m off today so I will get on it shortly!

Here goes..

Inside set up. Need an oil press gauge, and somewhere to mount EGT, water temp, and volt gauges. Gonna try and fab up a 6 gauge cluster where the 3 pod is now.

And here is a vid of it running with smoke coming from rad. You can hear me saying its smoke from over(fill) coolant, but in reality I found out it was actually from a leaky rad core.

Hey, i love the car, super enviouse (jealouse implies hard feeling IMO so i wil use enviouse :D )

Anyway... iff you ever need a kidney or anything like that frofm a healthy male, I think you know my asking price and i'll throw in my eclipse :D

Got about 200km on it or so, everything engine wise is great. I got the new rad in, and while bleeding the air out of the system my car started acting finicky. My battery was losing voltage at idle. Earlier in the week I had gone to start it and the batt was showing 12volts but would drain when I tried to start it. Gave it a boost and was fine til today. Going over all my connections, hoping I dont need a new alt. A reman'd one was put in last year.

Other then that no other problems. Alignment is scheduled for tomorrow. Tune is scheduled for June 27 @ lightspeed innovations. I dont remember if i updated or not but I went with the Vipec v44, and injector dynamics 750cc injectors. Hoping for 375awhp/torque. Cant wait to have launch control, antilag, and no lift to shift either :).

First wash a couple days ago. The paint on this thing is getting HORRIBLE.

So the car has about 4500km on it, and it's running great. Compression is 190 across the board. No tune yet as i still haven't received my intercooler.

I do still have one problem though, and thats oil loss. I do have a couple small leaks I will be fixing this weekend. I have to drop and reseal my oil pan, and my turbo oil return line. I'm also going to be pulling the turbo as I believe that is where my oil problem is. I lost 2qts in 1400km of 95% highway driving(did a road trip). It's still the same problem. When I idle, smoke will start to increasingly billow from the exhaust after about 2mintues, and will clear after 30 seconds of driving. After that I can go through all the gears with no smoke whatsoever.

I dont think it's anything in the engine, as the rings were proven to be strong with the comp test, and if it were valve seals I would think I would have constant smoke.

Got down and dirty yesterday in the mud..

So its been a long time coming, but i finally got the car tuned. Went for a pretty conservative tune as im still learning to race in this thing. Shot for 18psi, it hits 19-20 briefly, but overall im happy. Also got the Launch Control set up, which boosts to 15psi at 6k. Needless to say, i cant wait to see my 60ft time next spring ;)

numbers are 299awhp/283tq. Will get the graph posted soon. Here is a vid of the dyno, on a dynpack hub dyno.

Awesome EVO3, I would love to get my hands on one. With the Canadian border just a few miles from my house its soo tempting. BTW, thanks for ditching those fog lights I saw in the original pics, they just make the front end look way less menacing.
