I've still yet to find a pair of coilovers for rallying, but in the meantime I may pick up a set of BC racing ER series for street/autocross use. I also still havent decided on an IC, I may go with an ebay brand and do some custom pipework.

Updated the parts list on the first post as well. I finally got a new crank sent down to campbells last week. Just waiting for the piston rings to show up at the shop and everything will be ready to assemble. I have some relative's going down to edmonton to pick up a truck next weekend so I'm hoping it will be ready by then.

There is still some things i havent upgraded yet (ic + pipes, rad, brakes, susp) but I wont be putting the aem in until atleast spring for a tune so they can hold off until then. Once the block is back I will be locking myself in the garage until i can exit via a running vehicle. Will update when i have more info!

Super sweet build! Keep up the good work! Also I've heard that if you took the motor out, you can ship it down here to the states. Then when the buyer goes to register it they just get a "Kit car" title.

-Sigh- I hate how america works. I can legally have the car in my state... But federally it is illegal. For what? No damn reason. Would cut off my left nut to have a nice e3.

Well the block should be ready any day now.. just waiting on word from the shop to go pick it up. Then the real fun begins :D

Dun dun dun.....

...Shop called yesterday and said they feel i would be better off to go .020" over. This put's me behind a bit, but I've decided I'm going to sell the e9 pistons/rods(and rings I had bought) and go with a forged rod/piston combo.

My power goals are still going to remain relatively the same, but i do have some decisions to make. The car will at most be hitting 400whp. I still have to discuss more with the shop, but I think I will go with Wiseco Pistons (EXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In Stock Performance Parts) on Eagle rods (EXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In Stock Performance Parts). The shop recommended JE/eagle, but I think I would rather go with the wiseco's with the 9.0:1 cr over the je 8.5:1.

Sucks that I have to wait longer now, but seeing as we just got hit with a good 6" worth of snow, it makes it a bit easier.

Also, not much to take pics of at this point. Havent done much work on the car itself in a while.

Hi Tim, still no block yet so i havent used it. I did a test fit with the cluth and it was perfect, thanks!

With the high CDN dollar it was time to place my order. Ended up going with the wiseco 9.0:1 .020" over on eagle h beams. Also bought a oem oil pump, alt and ps belt, psv valve, and a couple other small things. Been working a ton lately so the car is still just sitting waiting for an engine. I will probably order a set of bc racing coilovers to use as DD's until a find a more rally suitable set.

glad to see you are lookin into a vipec... are you doing a plug n play board v44 or v88 with custom wiring?
The vipec does seem like a great system. I would go with the v44. Still have a few months before I will be getting it tuned so I have til then to decide.

And it begins.

Well i got her timed and tensioned tonight. Gonna put on the manifolds, turbo, alternator, ps pump and all pulleys tomorrow night. If i have time, also gonna try and drop it off the stand and put the fly wheel, clutch, and tranny on.

Monday will be finishing up the tranny, and hopefully get it dropped in. Tuesday do the suspension, fill all the oils and bleed the brakes/clutch.

Looking great. Keep us updated, when are you starting on the cage?
That will be the big project for next winter. This year will just be auto/rally cross.

I still need to order the wilwood bbk, an autobahn88 ic(out of stock), and a water/meth setup before the tune. Thanks for the compliments, will post some pics tonight when I'm done!

I'm gonna have to keep an eye out for this thing when I make my trips into Fort Mac. Looking awesome so far!
