There's definitely a recession, just affects some people different. I probably have more money spent on cars than anyone here and can admit that it isn't always the smartest thing to do. I make sure when I buy stuff that its at a price I could either come up or at least make my money back if need be, but even so there are definite better things to waste our money on.

I haulted spending money on my Talon to get a house (yay I got my garage now) and then ball it out with all the fancy doo-dads, and just when I was going to get back on the Talon, I bought yet another car. I'm crazy like that but I count my blessings. Hopefully none of it comes back to bite me in the ass but so far so good. I think its time for a boat next LOL. I'm only 23 so I guess I gotta get in al my stupid fun now before I have my midlife crisis.

Keep up the good work, when I see guys with all this money into their cars, I hope they have homes and other assets that can be deemed as investments. Its hard to see people have misfortunes and then all they have to show for anything is a built up bucket that runs sometimes.

Keep up the good work bro, car looks great. I must say military guys normally have nice rides. You guys have it easy LOL.

Yeah drug sales must have went up for you when the economy went down over there in cali LOL

Shit if they have it easy I'm already in heaven. I work in a union and just have to fix buses and work parties on sat for my money.

Oh, so that's your secret "work parties" and drug sales.. hmmmm... It all makes sense now.:nono: LOL :hellyeah:ROFL

As far as having it easy I'm not talking about the couple stints they have in iraq (many don't even have to go) but afterwards its a cake walk. I played football for years and did judo etc. All do all that hoorah running and jogging BS if it means low taxes, cheap rent, insurance, car loans, food, schooling, etc etc. they are well taken care of. I almost want to slap people when they talk about how "bad" they have it.

I'm not down playing their role, especially those who had to be in the military a few years back during the mid term of Bush' presidency but now.. eh. I take all that from my multiple friends who are part of the military. The guy I got my new project off of is in the Airforce, works maybe 3 days a week, gets paid over 50-60K a year paid like 400 in taxes the whole year, got 700 back and is pretty much taken care of after he gets done.

As I said,I understand the dangers associated with their job but they are well compensated for it. A title that benefits them and their family the rest of their lives. There are plenty of jobs here that are far more dangerous and daunting and include zero of the perks. I'm not down playing what they do at all, but a job is a job.

Comparing someone in the air force and a grunt that's. In iraq is like comparing a crash test dummy and the guy in the booth that hits the button. Sure they're both working toward making the car safer(america) but whose really in danger????

I'm really going to get pissed if I even start to debate the Air Force and the Army. I just tell you this small thing. I never saw one Air Force person leave the base and their wasnt alot of Air Force personnel over in Baghdad Iraq.

i went through all 8 pages of this build thread, read almost every post, envying your work and commitment.. hoping there would be a video of you driving or something.. aaaaand it was like a slap in the face seeing nothing but a teaser (which had me on edge by the way).. post a vid bro you know we ALL wanna see this thing tear up the streets

How about you come to the 3rd Annual Northeast DSM Meet. You get to see it first hand....

Talon is Still with Nate at TPG-tuning and he convinced me to go E85 instead of using Q16.

You don't have to post it but PM me let me know how much the damage is from getting nate to tune it and how long it takes so when I'm there I have a good estimate on how long and much it will be. Thanks man and anxious to see your results :thumb:

I can't wait either, also I wanna see how the BC performs at this power level. If I dnt like it Im dropping Kelfords in the next day LOL

I will PM you but I think he gave me like a Set price on the Tune already.

Yeah I figured it would be like that but your in about the same boat as me so I figured it would give me a ball park. As for the BC thing I sold my BC288s a while ago with my crower springs and either this week or next I'm ordering my Kiggly springs and the week after that(whichever wee that is LOL) I'm going with Kelford 280s. I was in the same dilemma your in now and said I would rather just do it now and know I'll be good then hope and MAYBE be disappointed.

I still feel the BC cams would get me in the ballpark with camgears being adjusted. I didnt wanna change the cams yet because I really wanted to see how they would do with this setup.

Wow man, seriously nice build. I read this whole damn thread, still really want those videos.

Videos of the tune should be soon and when I get it back I will make some videos of it on the streets n highways of New York City...... Just for you ^

Its raining in PA still and I have no filter on the Turbo so Nate cant get it to the shop, besides that Fedex is taking forever to deliver my 4' inlet muffler to send to Nate. The sooner this Talon gets tuned I know if Im gonna order better springs n retainers with kelfords 272 cams.

Hopefully I'll have it on the dyno in the next few days on E85 and we'll see what kid of power she makes!
