well im on a tight budget and this is my build so far. any help and input is apprectiated.

Car- 1992 Mitsubishi GSX
Build list so far includes,

Big 16g turbo, ported exhaust manifold, Apexi Downpipe, custom Pipeing with a HKS Carbon Ti catback, Apexi SAFC 2, and an AEM Wideband.

Thats about it. Im also looking if anyone has parts for sale or a car to part out, cause i do need some suspension also, But any help is appreciated.

i ordered a evo3 16g off extreme PSI and i also found this deal off exreme PSI it's a Fuel managment kit, comes with a Apexi Neo AFC, my choice of prescion injectors, a Walbro 190, 255, or 255 high pressure, for $640. i was thinking of ordering it, but my fuel pump in my Firebird whent out so that cuts into my funds which sucks.

But can someone tell me about this DsmLink will i be able to watch this knock problem ive been hearing about or can i just replace with with a new knock sensor from like Napa or something.

I got the turbo today, im so excited i think for right now the turbo is my only upgrade...cause i need to fix the fuel pump in my other car, plus i need to get suspension fixed. The engine ran really great when i first bought the car, but then the headgasket blew. ive had the head off for awhile now cause its at a shop getting rebuilt and resurfaced. I found some pics of my GSX ill upload them after work.

Turbo build sounds really sound and true. Just make sure to do the maintenance and don't slop around with the install.

i got my turbo, i wouldnt have ordered it but my 14b blew out..so i just figured get the good one. But i need the oil sending and return lines...Does anyone have some for sale, a couple websites i found there like $70 for OEM lines, i dont wanna pay that much for a piece unless i cant find any for cheaper.

the sending line has a leak in it, and after getting under the car today and removing the downpipe, the old return line broke, so the previous owner just used rubber hoseing from like autozone..im pretty sure that wont hold for long, so i was just gonna replace all the lines..But yeah thats why im asking for lines it be amazing if someone had some for sale...cause i found lines off some websites and there like between $30-$70 each for lines.

well, its been awhile since i was on here...still waiting on my head its starting to piss me off...is this a good deal cause im not sure about these dataloggers. This is the post its in Washington i was gonna email the guy and see if he would ship it but im not sure about these things so i would just ask the forums.

Talon Eclipse DSM datalogger

Its a good deal. Go for it. You can use rubber line for the oil return as long as it seals well. A lot of people would rather do that than get the OEM 14b/16g line because those can crack as you already know.

As far as anything else, you can order the oil feed line from Extreme PSI. You can feed from the head or the OFH. MHI turbos are recommended to be feed from the head tho. So slight modification is in order. I just did the swap to a 14b myself and I am still waiting for LICP. But I'm sure its going to be worth all the trouble I went through. There are plenty of threads of people doing this swap along with their individual builds. Just search it up.

The line to feed the turbo can cost from $30-$60. You can reuse your water/coolant lines from the 14b. You can also reuse the gaskets and such. I had to replace a few gaskets though. I'd rather do it now than later.

Why did the head gasket blow on your car btw? Did you even ask?

Take pics and post it up so we can pin-point things. It's a lot easier than guessing.

i think the head gasket blew because the previous owner used a crappy paper thin single layer gasket, instead of teh recomended 4layer mitsubishi gasket. When i go to my friends house *he is letting me fix my car there* ill take some pics of the gasket and what not. i would take pics of the head its just Slowmotion Motorsports has it.

so i finially got paid..and im gonna order some injectors, i was told just to buy the 450cc for just getting the car up and running..i found some prescion 550cc for about the same price as i found the stock 450cc would it be alright to run the 550cc just for getting the car up and running or are the 550cc ones i will need to get into the computer with to tune.

More than likely a stupid question to ask but. whats better Disc-style or Ball-style injectors.

Bolting on a bigger turbo and injectors without some sort of tuning compensation seems like a quick route to spending more money down the road on a new motor. At the very least I would recommend a chip from Jeff. This would also allow you to upgrade to DSMlink when your budget allows and you become more familiar with your car. A wideband O2 should be high on the list as well. Please, DON'T go with the "ballpark" method. :nono:

Avoid the urge to crank up boost on that EVOIII 16G without a better fuel system and some way to control it. Your turbo is going to be VERY limited by your supporting mods for now.

As for those KYB AGX Shocks and springs, they definitely handle nicely for the money.

Like other guys have said... Keep up on maintenance and good luck! :hellyeah:

Can you give me some more info about feeding the turbo from the head, any pics or anything??

ok so slowmotion called and said my head was done...i go to pick it up and they tell me one of my cams is bad...FANTASTIC!!...well the guy told me that he can get me a set of EVO8 Cams to put in there...Will these work or should i just find some stock cams..

And if anyone has some cams for sale id ###### be more than happy to buy them...If ive got the funds.

Ok so ive pretty much got everything i need to start putting my engine back together but my brother told me that he would buy me a new o2 housing so before i get everything together i figure i order one...I read somewhere on here that the ebay ones actually arnt that bad..i was wondering is there any performance difference between one with an internal dump and a external dump tube to atmosphere..Im sure these are some stupid noob questions but This is my first DSM and never hurts to ask...LOL
