i have a 95 gst and my air to fuel is running to lean i might just need to change my o2 sensor but any advise will help and will that be the reason my turbo timing seems off

I would check you O2 sensor, if its anything other than new looking get it replaced. Just going out and buying a wideband will tell you the same thing your air/fuel gauge is telling you now if it is an O2 sensor... invest in one after replacing your O2 sensor to give you more information as to what's going on with your engine after fixing the current problem.
Just throwing a new gauge at something is not a "fix all" ... I'm suprised that victor wouldn't even attempt to help you fix the problem, but instead bolstered his tech post count by just telling you to go spend money on a different gauge.
