i have a 95 gst and my air to fuel is running to lean i might just need to change my o2 sensor but any advise will help and will that be the reason my turbo timing seems off

I would check you O2 sensor, if its anything other than new looking get it replaced. Just going out and buying a wideband will tell you the same thing your air/fuel gauge is telling you now if it is an O2 sensor... invest in one after replacing your O2 sensor to give you more information as to what's going on with your engine after fixing the current problem.

Just throwing a new gauge at something is not a "fix all" ... I'm suprised that victor wouldn't even attempt to help you fix the problem, but instead bolstered his tech post count by just telling you to go spend money on a different gauge.

Hes saying buy a wideband because narrow bands are NOT a reliable source for whats actually going on. Sure its a good idea to test the 02 sensor, but that doesnt mean the car is actually running lean like his pos narrow band says. I briefly ran a narrowband and it read lean all the time. Fortunately I had dsmlink to log my actual numbers and saw the issue was just the pos gauge.
So yes "throwing a new gauge" will definitely help tell whats really going on....in addition to some basic trouble shooting. Out of curiosity, how much experience do you actually have with narrow and widebands given the fact you have a nt and no use for one?

Get a logger to or check codes for a bad sensor well the narrow band isnt going to help, hes going tor need a way of checking codes, and identifying the problem, if hes wondering why its lean, it could be many reasons, he needs to tell why he thinks its lean in the first place.

well im sure that it is just the 02 sensor responsible for my f/a being so lean i just didnt get around to replaceing them yet to see if it still runs on lean or not if it still runs lean after that and getting a wideband then that should be fun for me to find outs whats wrong since im new at doing most these things im useing my eclipse more as a practice car for me and my friends to see what we can do
