Hey so recently I put a big 16g ported turbo on my 90gsx. After I found that the boost was spiking 19psi which I know stock fuel system not good. So I put in a 255 with rewire a fpr and Manuel Halman boost controller. That brought the boost to 17psi with soft spring adjust all the way down but I was still hitting fuel cut... I got a 3" gm maf and translator and aem wide band, 3" exhaust and fmic, which I haven't ran yet due to the car getting a new radiator and water pump. I know I need bigger injectors and some type of fuel controller like a safc to run a little higher boost. My questions???

1. Can the maf trans compensate for larger injectors say 550cc or no?

2. Since I can't affored link can i use a safc for larger injector and some increased boost safely?

3. Will evo 560cc run on a 1ga?

So with I understand so far new to the DSm world the S-afc can handle up to about 680 cc and that is it that is their max and well with the 3" maf i really dont know too much about that there is a few guys on here that really know their stuff just look for the guys that are PROVEN members and ask them they are very helpful i have gotten alot of help from ppl on here and found the problems with my 92 Laser rs awd

You can use the MAFT for tuning. 650cc is the absolute limit. 550cc would definetly be fine. Adding an AFC would help you fine tune a little bit more but there are better options out there and they dont play hell with your timing when you are tuning. Most would prefer ECMlink and you can even use your GM MAS with it also.

1. Yes, maft follows the same idea as the safc, where as around 680's is as large as you can go. Timing gets out of control.

2. Adding a safc to the mix wont increase your ability to run larger injectors at this point. You need a way to adjust timing. So skip the safc for now. The cheapest way to run larger injectors in a 1g would be to run 560's and a 2g maf. The injectors are "about" 20% larger and the 2g maf reads "about" 20% lower when used on a 1g. So they basically cancel out.

3. Yes, but above^^ applies.

That's good to know that I can use the maf translator with a bit bigger injectors. Not lookin to go to crazy just yet so it should work out!!

And if anyone can give me an exact or ball park of what I should have my fuel pressure regulator set to would be awesome??

If your going with the 2g maf then no you don't need the translator. If you vent the bov you will run rich between shifts and the fuel trim will start to crank down to get you leaned up then by the time your back on the throttle your ratio will be lean and it will have to start cranking back up. Just don't vent and recirc instead. If you like the sound put a cone filter on and get rid of the silencer tube in the snorkel. You'll hear it. Look up free mods on here.
