Well they are fools. Rule of thumb one or two steps colder and that's just with all otor with nitrous throw boost in there and your playing with fire.:notgood:

Actually they are a step lower the stock plugs called for 7's.

Haha, wonder why the guy I bought my car from ran 7's on his OEM. That's what I found when I got the car! Maybe it was boosted at one point...

Hey Total, you sold the 420a?!?

Yessir I did, sold the rs-t then used that money and got a built 91 Talon TSi AWD with money leftover to spare. I'll have to make a thread or something sometime when I get a chance with pics. Don't want to whore up this thread.

DSMZERO, any updates? Figure out the wiring issues and lifters swap and going to dyno tomorrow? I am still very interested in this project and can't wait to see what the 420a can do for power-wise.

As far as updates ...The shop still says that they are trying to hit the dyno this week...Waiting on lifters to come in and more relays for wiring also...
Im hopinf for mid 700's on boost alone around 30-35psi

What are you hoping for 1/4 time wise?

(sorry if you already said i don't feel like reading through 21 pages)

Hmmmm I want a 9'sec time slip...but im thinking low 10's is were ill be at to start off with...I HOPE...

Get the dam thing running first LOL then worry about that stuff you have enough money into it power will come.

I wanna see this thing is action, I wish I had the money to turbo again. What's the total $$$damage so far? :)

Guys, ALOT OF YOU keep asking this. In all honesty, it's not something you ask on a build like this. No offense, but it's none of your business, and I'm sure he doesn't want to release the car value to anyone, seeing as how we all know what shop is doing the work, where it is, etc...

Not to mention it's been asked many times before, and he has been reluctant to disclose that information. It's also not the best etiquette to ask someone how much money they've put into a project like this. Money can't be a factor for some things. It has nothing to do with the build he's exploiting and I'm sure he doesn't want everyone to know his checks, balances, and total price of this.

Would you feel comfortable if people asked you how much you make an hour? Per year? How much you waste on your car every week? Money can be quite personal these days is all I'm saying..

Agreed, stay on track and focus on what really matters. I'm ready to see the car run on the dyno! Glad to see someone doing something different. Keep us updated Zero, and stay safe.. Looks like I'll be over there early next year

Here are my Drag Rims by Bogart 13 X 8

Still feeling good about your choice of EMS? ;)

I like the battery location, by the way.

I've never seen the battery located outside the vehicle before. Seems a little sketchy if you were to take the car into a wall at the track or something.

Yea i Still fell confident in the choice of ems....even though it still is not wired up yet.

Alot of cars in my class all mount the battery in the same spot

If you are going to move your battery in an FWD, forward is the way to go. If you can't have it directly over your axles then putting your weight in front of them, is much better than putting it behind. I actually have plans on the NA that will put a fuel cell in that location (opposite side with a cage). That way, the fuel weight is no longer being "dragged (by being behind the drive axles) it is now helping to keep the weight of the car down on the axles for better traction.

Sounds cool, but will you be adding anything in front of the driver's side front wheel to evenly disburse the added load up there? Otherwise all the weight of the fuel would be being applied to the passenger side wheel.

Great observation. Yes you do need to balance your "corners" when you do this.

Having weight in the front..wouldnt that make you "push" the load? Is that actually better? I can see the main reason of keeping the front down so it may not be even a concern either way for a fwd.

That is one beautiful car. But the wiring made me cringe. He he.

I like the choice of rims. Plus the battery is in an interesting place. How much were the rims? And the headlights?
