SO heres my problemo, I recently installed a USED MTX-L wideband and at the same time i installed ECMlink, ive gotten idle dialed in by AFR with mafcomp so far but my problem is my gauge always reads extremely accurate, but my wideband on my log looks close on start up but then its like it looses connection. Everything is wired correctly and i just confirmed connection to pin 4. I am using the narrowband sim so it effects it pretty heavily.

Moral of the story i have the car running pretty decent for now for cruises in OPEN loop but as soon as it closes loop, (when it does) it car leans right out and runs like poop. I just hope to get some insight before i try to blame the wideband. Wideband is always reading good readings, but the ECU says otherwise.

Your o2 isn't cycling and you didn't mention where your wideband is located. I'm assuming since you have nbo2 simulated it's in the front o2 port.

You didn't wire INTO pin number 4 did you? If so you need to disconnect the wire coming from the factory o2 sensor to the ECU and tape it off so it is no longer interfering with the signal.

Fix the o2 signal first, once in a while if you tap the gas it'll encourage it to cycle, but you really need to monitor the front o2 volts.
Let me know what you find.
 
Sorry I forgot to mention, I did replace pin #4 wire with the yellow wire from the wideband when I redid the connection shortly after, my wideband o2 is in the factory spot and that's why I'm using the sim. My guess is that there's something wrong with the ecu or the wideband for that to happen? The log taken earlier was after the battery was unhooked and rehooked not it just sits around 9.

What sits around 9?

And you didn't address that you o2 sensor is not cycling. If the sensor won't cycle you'll never get your closed loop function correct, I'd suggest calibrating the o2 sensor or just replacing it if you aren't sure of the age of the sensor.

Okay I was wrong, the AFR that the ECU sees from my wideband is sitting around 8.0. My O2 is being simulated by link because I replaced my narrowband with a wideband and thats hooked directly to my gauge. at idle my wideband gauge reads around 14:1 ish and the ecu somehow sees 8:1 so when it goes into closed loop when it does, my car leans right out. i was not awhare that the wideband sensor was supposed to cycle, or is it the narrowband sim simulating a cycle? I just recalibrated my wideband and that changed absolutely nothing
 
...Alright.. Here is a log of me just playing around before I got everything dialed in a few days ago (was chasing a vacuum leak) Ignoring everything else wrong with that log, watch my o2 voltage. I also have an MTX-L that I recently installed in my 1g. Which wire did you say you used to hook to the ECU? You do not want to use the wire that simulates narrowband, you want the one that gives the full (.0-5v) otherwise it may not work correctly.

Your fuels are exactly what i would want mine to be. LOL I hooked the yellow wire to pin 4 at the ECU. Red to 12v key on, black to chassis ground. My brown wire is burried in black tape. i don't get it. im stumped. I would say its the sensor itself, but then why would the readings on my gauge still seem pretty good but just the ECU sees something totally different?
 
Watch the ECMlink demo videos on fuel trims for a much better explanation then I can ever give. You need to get your o2 sensor to cycle properly.

Now i adjusted mafcomp at idle to be right around .25 airflow per rev and adjusted my injector deadtime to sit right around 14.7 at idle in open loop. i bought a new o2 sensor and recalibrated my wideband so thats right, but my wideband reading doesnt make it to my ECU somehow, it just sits at ~8.0 afr give or take with my throttle position. Im ASSuming thats why everything leans out so hard in closed loop when it closes because its simulating a constant ~8.0 afr and the ECU is trying to correct it to the point where it just leans it out.

Ive been forcing it into closed loop by disable/re enabling the nbo2. the o2 never cycles by itself.

Double check your wiring then. something is wrong if your voltage is staying flat like that. It is very, very easy to cut and splice the wrong wire going into the ECU, the big issue I believe is if you cut the wrong side its actually the knock sensor wire. I'm amazed nobody else has chimed in on this yet.

I redid a couple connections for the yellow wire, my yellow wire is infact running into the #4 pin which is the white wire (front O2) and i even remember before getting knock during a cruise and the knock sensor triggering the check engine light. i made sure i had a good chassis ground coming from the battery and i even made a different chassis ground just for the hell of it. this is really starting to piss me off LOL. heres another log when i was messing around with every setting i possibly could just to see if it was some stupid problem. i dont understand at this point. in this log my wideband and the AFRest are pretty close just to give you an idea. my wideband data does somehow fluctuate with the throttle position. any more ideas? i might try maybe going to the EGR pin just for the hell of it just to see if anything changes.

completely right. triple checked and i found a good color coded diagram, you called it. hooked to the knock sensor and not the front o2. my stupidity LOL. thanks alot! least it was a simple mistake.
