msd ignition box

Im trying to find out if the MSD ignition control box 6a is worth getting. or should i be looking for something else.

i just installed a msd box and coil. easy install. anyway i don't think you can use the msd 6 series boxes because our cars are distribterless. to my knowledge only the msd DIS-2 box will work. other brands make some boxes that are compatable but i don't know their model numbers. just make sure they can be used in a distribterless ignition system. like i said it was an easy install. hardest part was making a mounting bracket. i installed the box where the factory airbox was.

Hey, I have the DIS 2 with the dual ignition adapter. I would get that if I were you. The two-step is the best part about it for launches.

the best part about launching as in? i heard that it acts like a studder box. and allows boost to be built in a free rev for the launch, any truth to that?

It'll retard timing or even skip ignition events altogether in order to keep your RPMs at a set limit - meaning you can floor the gas pedal at the tree, and then just slip the clutch when the light drops.

Yes i knew that but i heard that since it does that, that creates a load on the engine allowing boost to be made. My question is does anyone have it and can you have half or more boost at the line... i was thinking about getting it so i could leave the line under boost but dont know if its true
