I just got the MR downpipe installed. I can finally hear the lil 16g spool up. I like the responce on the setup. I also have the MR SS O2 housing, I thought it would be noisy but it sounds deeper. Any suggestions on whether I should should also heat wrap the O2 housing? I did a decent job wrapping the down pipe I just think the O2 housing is going to be a pian with the size and shape.

2 bolt... although in all the exit flange is 3in. all the pics I saw looked like the 3in section dropped to a 2.5in. Thats the only issue i had, some shop down here had to fab a flange for me. I'd like to say I don't live in the boondocks, but a 3in flange...was impossible to find locally. I'd have to look in to who does ceramic coating around here.. If I can't find it I'll have to tear it down and heat wrap the o2 housing.:dsm:

I am thinking of ceramic coating my megan racing down pipe too. Would a powder coating place do ceramic coatings?

Well... sound tempting, but I alread paid 50 bucks for the heat wrap and have about half the roll left. I'm out to prove that good power can be made for cheap, so I'm just gonna go thru the effort of wrapping the O2 housing. My friends call it Project chEap-Clipse, but I make the extra effort to keep the car from looking cheap. :dsm:

I wouldn't think so, the only way you could install a cat on it is if you did some cutting and welding off the downpipe.

On my car, (AWD) the downpipe comes perilously close to the driveshaft. We're talking a matter of an inch or so from the side of it. I don't think there's enough width in the exhaust tunnel to accomodate a cat. A FWD car may have more room to play with.

On a side note, I finally got my MR cat-back and downpipe installed and I must say it's probably one of the sweetest sounding exhausts I've ever heard. The muffler looks perfect on the car, and it was simple to install. I give mad props to Megan Racing for making a great product for our cars.

Ditto.

Yes to install a cat as well, you would have to cut a portion of the downpipe out and then re weld on some flanges to bolt it up. This downpipe is a cat eliminator downpipe.
