Long story short screwed up and hooked battery up backwards. Tried to start it and it sounded odd obviously, so got it hooked up correctly and now no start. Just cranks. Pretty sure the fuel pump is NOT kicking on. Blowed the 80 amp fuse so I replaced it. Now could this just be an mpi box ? Or did I possibly damage more

If that fuse blew, you might have blown some others, and/or taken out some relays (i.e. for the fuel pump). Is it making any noise at all when you crank it? Does the starter try to engage? I would imagine that anything electrical that pulls amps when the car turns on could potentially have been affected - ignition coil, relays of all kinds, starter, etc. And of course, the battery itself could have been damaged. I'm not an electrical engineer, it should be noted; though my understanding is that there are several EEs in this DSM community that could have more definitive advice.

Holy crap talk about bad luck

Your gonna have to go thru so much to pin point this one

Do you get a check engine light when you put the key to the on position?
I only ask this because you may have damaged the Ecu , if no light comes on than it's a good place to start

You took out every fuse and checked it? Continuity is way easier to check fuses with
There's so much that could have went wrong here. Start checking for shorts

Do you get spark and fuel?
Does it even try to start?

If there's any part outs around you I suggest you buy every relay for your dsm and start swapping the important stuff

I'd double check the interior fuses just to be sure and Start makeing a list and crossing stuff off as you go

Good luck man,
maybe get some red paint and put it on the pos side of the battery so it doesn't happen again
Lmao
Edit:
I have a 1992 electrical v2 fsm
So if you need some schematics I'll take some pictures for ya

Yeah he's right, definitely want to pull the cover off the ecu and see if a capacitor popped. Replace the mpi relay, Check voltage at the pump. Check the cas.

Like Maddashimports-Matt said check the ecu for damage. Confirm if you have spark if you can hear the fuel pump engage and prime the system. If you have ecm link you can manually prime the system to seem fair the system is functional. But check for spark if you got fuel.
