Ok well I've been a long time lurker and have been able to solve most of my problems. This one is my most fustrating yet. So any help/ideas will be appreciated. So here we go..
I have a 1990 GSX which was running strong with no problems. I came upon some 850's and decided to do the whole fuel system. Ordered a Walboro 255 HP, Fuellab AFPR, and a DSMChip. While waiting for the chip, I got the pump and regulator and installed them with no problem, and sent my eprom ECU (has been rebuilt witt new caps) to a computer shop to have the socket soldered in. The chip came in and later that day I picked up the ECU a few days later (job looked alright, kinda sloppy though). Plugged in the ECU with the chip in it and blah, nothing.
Contacted Jeff O. at DSMChips and after some emails, found out the ECU was not booting up. I sent the ECU out to ECMTuning and they put in a new socket, and tested the ECU. Everything came out good. Just got the ECU back a couple days ago and now I still cannot start the car. The car will sometimes turn over, sometimes it will not.
Here are the tests I have done..
-Battery: 12.3v
-No power to fuel pump when on and cranking
-No power toinjectors when cranking
-No spark when cranking
-MPI relay clicks once when turned on and clicks a few seconds after car has been turned off
-MPI when tested using this method, it clicks, but I didnt not test the voltagfe running through (http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/263224-mfi-mpi-relay.html)
-Tested the plug that goes into the MPI, pins 10 and 8 have 12v, but pins 3&7 and 9&6 show no voltage.
-All fuses good
-ECU boots up
-When I used the DSM Logger program on my Palm III to start the fuel pump, nothing clicked and my turbo timer started counting down like I had turned off the key when I hadn't.
-SAFC powers up as normal
-All normal lights come on wiht key in and normal power down with key out
So right now I'm running out of ideas and am SOL. Any help would be appreciated. I need to get thing thing up and running again. Still haven't felt that E316g past 9psi yet.
Thanks,
Chris
