is there any way of moving the stock mas for venting. I was thinking of trying to move it on the S pipe right after the bov. would this be a good idea or no

You can't do this...I will leave it at that...don't even try.

Mind elaborating just a bit on that? Will the MAS melt, or just not read correctly as blow-through?

Agreed, my theory is that the karman/vortex type sensor relies on a pressure differential between the front and back of the sensor to meter air correctly, but I'm wondering if anyone has any supportable theories or sound proof.

see i wouldnt think there is a dif between a GM mas being after compression as oppose to the stock mas but then u think the gm mas will need the maft so its gotta be technical like computer junk that only nerds understand being the reason for ur idea not working but im not really sure but it would be cool if u could just relocate it...piping would be difficult going from oval to perfect circle but if no ones done it i doubt it would work

I looked into this a few weeks back, and came across a thread explaining why it wouldn't work.

It isn't designed as a blow-thru setup, and needs to have the air sucked into it (apparently it creates a "vortex") and not blown through it.

Or something like that.

i guess that makes sense that it measures air getting sucked rather then blown...its all about preference whether u like it sucked or blown...personally i like it sucked....but many others like it blown....but u dont know which is better until uve tried both :thumb:

That's what I was thinking...

Coup, if you could find that thread and post it, I'd be interested to see it.

CB, any ideas?
