Quick question,

is there any sort of manual bypass to the power seat in 2g's? I am pulling my interior out and I already have my engine bay mostly stripped so I have no battery to move the seat with and it's all the way back so I cannot access the covers or bolts at all on the rear.

What do I do here?

You could try and put a jumper wire and power up the seat that way with a battery. Only other way is to hook the battery up for a minute while you move it. What I mean by jumper wire is find the wires or fuse that power the seat controls and using a jumper wire and battery you can supply the power you need real quick.

+1 You beat me to it. It should work out pretty well.

My fuse box/wire harness is mid tuck/relocate haha so hooking up a battery won't be easy. Maybe I'll try a 12v source directly to the seat if I can manage to get to the connector.

What a ridiculous issue to have haha.

I've been there before bro!! It happens so no worries!! Just do what you know will work to get around it and move on! The seat wires are under the seat just find the slit in the carpet and pull the wires out alittle.

theres a very small allen head bolt facing you on the left and right hand sides if your by the pedals facing the seat. remove those little bolts then slide off the gear drive things they are holding and seat can be moved manually. It may require more force than a non-power seat but it will move.

Thanks! I just did that, I had to seat on the back seat to push the front seat back and forth and then I locked it back in on a position that was comfortable for me.

RIP my tall friends who always ask to drive it.

I bet you could have plugged into the cigarette lighter socket with 12v and moved the seat. JS
