well since I am waiting for a coil to come in tomarrow(which I am praying solves my no start issue), I started putting the interior back togeather.
So I am installing my new head unit, and I see another F-up by the previous owner... completely cut out the stock radio plug, and the antennea feed wire
This would normally not be a big deal at all, but now I cannot find a 12V source at all in that bundle of wires. I found two that have a 2.6V in on, and ACC position (blue - red/black)... but none have a passive V source for memory with the key out.
I really do not want to rig it by running a lone wire w/fuse to the battery.
Now, the radio comes on, radio only. I try to play a CD and it flicks what seems like a power on/off cycle every few seconds. So I can only imagine it is not getting nearly enough power. And yes I did tap a black/yellow for ground.
The speaker wires I have sorted out, really only needed to find the front dash ones anyway because I am putting in 6X9's and 2 12's power by an amp.
I guess I could run the wire to the back of the fuse block... but I would rather find it where it is supposed to be.
I have spent half my time on this car finding/fixing previous owners screw ups and hack jobs...
