Mounting rear shocks

Im in the process of installing new rear shocks (Eibach + Illuminas). What's the easiest way to mount the shocks in its place? I have the shocks+spring mounted on the top screws but Im having difficulty attaching the lower end of the shock to its mounting bolt.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use a spring compressor on the spring/shock and compress the spring a bit and remove the upper nuts at the shock tower. This'll give you the wiggle room to get the lower shock mount to slide onto the pin without binding up. Then once its on that pin just release the pressure slowly on the spring and make sure the upper shock mount studs slide right thru the existing shock mount holes at the top. I had the same problem with my coilovers and had to "shorten" the coilover to get them on the rear.

I found an 8-ton bottle jack which worked perfectly to raise the shocks and help it align with the mounting tube.
