motor swaping, from 97 to 95

hi, i am buying a 97 eclipse gst. it has a 7bolt and auto trans. im buying it to swap it into my 95 gst which has a 5 speed. im keeping the 5 speed just swapping the motor into my 95. never swapped a motor myself. i just bought a 8 ton cherry picker. think i can do it? what is the hardest part? since just motors are being swaped do i just unbolt mounts, wiring and trans than pull it out of the top? any tips help thank you.

If the motor that's in the first pic is the actual one that's in the 97 your buying then that's a 6 bolt with a 2g head on it so it would be the same as doing a 6 bolt swap. There are a lot of posts on this conversion.

Unplug your wire harness, it's easier to unbolt you ps pump am leave the line connected so you won't have that mess and have to refill it. Take your radiator unbolt your mounts and take the motor/tranny out as one. It will have to come out on an angle. It also helps to take the tranny mount plate off the tranny. If you have a load leveler that will help to to angle the motor when removing it. Then your going to have to address the cam sensor because on a 97 there on the tranny end of the head and a 95 there on the timing side of the head.
