95 trans differ from 97 trans?

Hi me and my buddy took his motor out of the 97 to do a tranny swap ( from auto to manual ) we got everything hooked up shifter cables, pedals, etc, but when it came time to put the trans on the bolt patterns were different. Is there a difference in the trans patterns or could he got the non-turbo trans?

What model cars are the tranny from? You know a turbo tranny will not fit in a non turbo car and the same the other way around.

it is a 97 turbo eclipse, and we got a 95 tranny that was supposed to be a turbo model. will a turbo model tranny from 95 bolt to a 97 turbo model?

yes you could use a 95 tranny in a 97
