grinding from trans?

so i just picked up a 95 sonoma 2.2 5 speed and im having a problem

has a lifter tick, no big deal but heres what im worried about

start the truck, everythings fine, has a slight like rubbin noise, push the clutch in an its gone, let the clutch out and its back, okay. back out, start goin and i get grinding, as i get faster it gets worse but say im doing 50 or 60 or whatever speed and i take my foot off the gas the grinding pretty much goes away?

the truck is dropped with spindles up front and blocks in back. tires are brand new idk what could be the cause, i believe the clutch to be new, its very very tight

pressure plate, flywheel, trans?

Could be a bad throwout bearing, or worse, the transmission input shaft is going bad. I'm not sure how the GM trannies are, but I had a Honda D15 transmission with a bad input shaft that I drove around for 40,000 miles before changing that tranny JUST to get rid of the howling noise I had to put up with! You may be able to drive around with it like that for awhile, but when you get around to changing the clutch and throw out bearing, have someone check input shaft play. You'll be able to hear the noise a bad input shaft/bearing makes just by spinning it by hand.
