Motor swap

Hey anyone and everyone, I'm ineed of advice on a motor swap, I have a 94 eclipse with the 1.8l I either want to swap it for the 420a or the 4g63? What will I exactly need to make a great swap.

Swapping to the 4g63/4g63t would probably be the 'easiest' route. That particular swap has been detailed in several threads here and on other forums, but in the broad strokes you'll need to replace nearly everything. You'll need the complete engine and transmission, complete engine wiring harness, and ECU. I'm not 100% sure about the fuel situation, but I'd suspect that at the minimum the fuel pump would need to be upgraded, as well. At least all of the mounting points are present in the engine bay so you wouldn't be looking at fabricating custom mounts or anything like that.

It's probably not a cost-effective project unless you already have a garage full of the necessary parts or a donor car, but it does sound like fun.

420a was never installed in a 1g. There is absolutely no reason to try.

I'm going to be swapping it with the 4g63 turbo.the engine is built as you can see in my picture, brand spanking new. But I need to make sure what I all need to replace before I mess anything up. I cant wait to do this trust me its going to be a good learning experience also, thanks for you time.
