So here is my question. hopefully someone will have a good answer for me. I am mainly a 3g guy but have been working on a motor swap w/ a 2g gst. At this point i have the motor out and all the electrical swapped over to the new motor. The problem that i am now at is that the motor i am transplanting in is a 6 bolt motor and the old one was a 7 bolt. now that really isnt too big of a deal but here is my major problem.
1. the torque converter does not fit into the mits tranny (too shallow, it bottoms out on the shaft.
2. I cant use the old flexplate because it is a 7bolt crank side and i cant use the new flexplate because it is a 3 bolt torque converter side and the only converter that i have is a 4 bolt setup.
So here is my question. Has anyone run into this before and if so, do you know what torque converter will work with this setup or where to get a flexplate that is 6 bolt crank side 4 bolt converter side???
Btw here are the stats on the car its going in:
96 eclipse gst Turbo 2.0L
Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks
