i posted this in general but now that i think about it the question would be answered faster in the right area...

im taking the motor from my 90 and putting it in my 91 this weekend...the only part im a lil skeptical about is the tranny and transfer case...i am going to use the tranny and t/case from the 91 and the motor(bottom and top end) of the 90...i am unsure about how to get the transfer case off? any links would help...and i need a torque spec for the bolts holding the tranny to the engine...a tranny shop said as tight as i can get them...im looking for something a lil more descriptive?

any tips for a first time awd motor swap would help...(ive done fwd so i have swapping the motor down)...

and yes ive read the VFAQ on engine removal...vague at best...

There are 5 bolts that connect the tcase to the tranny (assuming its M/T) it will slide off your output shaft and then slide off your driveshaft in that order. I dont know any torque specs I just tighten it up roughly 60 ftlbs on mine! Good luck P
