I took my blown motor out without dropping the trans?? I am wondering beforehand How would i Line up my FLywheel and clutch assembly when I install the new Motor. Its a Newb question but I havent seen any forums on it yet, ANd How would I install the motor back in properly with out dropping the trans. IF you could step by step send it to me in a PM Id gladly appreciate it

Do a search I'm sure they have it on YouTube and this and other forums; make sure your water pump pulleys are off and your ac and alternator are also off harmonic balancer also off! It goes in an angle and trans pointing down and then up! Not to hard get another helper too! Good luck

put a jack under the transmission and jack it up so that the transmission is angled up a bit, and with all the accessories off the front. Drop the rear of the motor and lower it in, as stated ^^^ but the easiest way is by far is dropping the trans and putting them in together as one unit.

But i can still put it back in without taking the transmission out right, Cause I dont want to do that just for the fact that I already took the first motor out without it, So most of the work is done. Now Can I leave the Flywheel and clutch off and just mount the motor in and then do the flywheel and clutch later, Like If I were wanting to change them out. Im new and just trying to figure it out.

it will be by far easier for you to spend the 20 minutes and drop the transmission then it will be to fight to get the input shaft lined up properly for the motor to go onto it and slide into place.

trust me, i have done this, and it was the last time i ever did it that way!

to align the clutch you need a "clutch alignment tool" not sure if autozone or them will sell it separately, but i know it comes in the clutch kit.

and im sorry, but your last post about leaving the clutch and flywheel out and doing them later. what is the difference in dropping the trans and putting it all in together rather then what your stating you want to do, which will take you twice as long?
