another swap question

hey guys i am new to the forums so dont chew my head off if this seems like a typical question.. i searched but cant find the answers
i just bought a 91 tsi with a auto tranny
i have a 91 gs turbo fwd 5 speed

can i and if so what is needed to make the TSi a 5 speed
using asmuch as i can from the GS turbo.
performance parts of bridgeport said the labor of this
alone will be $800. does this seem fair...
i am also gonna meet the guys from pruven cause im in the same town as them (milford) see what they say...
any help is apreciated being that i dont wanna spend a fortune
