ok, its a 95 eclipse rs n/t and it was automatic. i got a manual from a 97 gs that bolted up. now with everything in im getting a check engine light and the starter isn't doing anything at all, so i dragged the old automatic back and plugged up all the sensors and still the same. any one had this problem or know whats wrong?? please help!!!! :dsm:

ok i found out that for anyone who wants to know, if you have that problem it just could be a faulty ground. ha ha, but now i have another problem. its cranking over kinda slowish but it seemed to loosen up some or something, its turning over a little quicker. but it is back firing out the tb bad, and even kicking back on the starter. so what im basically wondering is did the engine get out of time when i had everything out and manually turned it over by hand to un bolt the torque converter and re bolt the pressure plate on. and how would you fix this or tell if this is it??!! please help.......

thanx :dsm:

please help, i have spark, fuel for sure. and could the cam sensor do it, because i tested that and it seems a little low on the signal voltage back to the ecu, its like 5 or so. also, could i just pull the automatic tranny computer or would it make more troubles?? also, when i turn the engine over by hand even with the plugs out it feels like its got compression should it be this way??

please any feedback

thanx :dsm:

I'm not exactly sure what your problem is. But either way, definitely unplug the TCU, that will throw a CEL. Will your car start at all? Double check the starter connections, especially the black little plug. Did you get a manual starter? Did you wire the inhibitor switch up? Get back and let me know.

i wired the sensors up as they would be stuck in park inside the old tranny. so it works. and i have a modular clutch so i don't need a different starter... the only CEL im throwing now is an IAC, so im good for now thanx :thumb:

peace
