motor locked up

i was driving my car cominf home from work and it started to lose its power some what but not by much and the car just dies on me i tired t pop start it,and it felt like the clutch was sliping then i opened the hood and my turbo was glowing red for some reson i wasnt even raceing. themotor wouldnt turn at all anyone have anyidea why it happened and if there is a motor for sale i would like to know thanks

Are you sure it isn't just a charging system problem? Will it even crank over? You should try to turn the motor over by hand by turning the crank pulley to see if it spins freely. Good luck

the crank will not move for nothing

Did you check your timing belt, maybe it stretched, jumped timing, or it might have snapped and it got caught on the valves and thats why the block wont rotate by hand.

i just put a new head and new timing belt on it

glowing mani? and not running hard.. it over heated..or it jumped time
you could have a broken valve thats on top the piston. and it won't make it rotate pased tdc,
look in the spark plug holes with a flash lite..look for scaring.

ive seen a broken valve jam in the turbine wheel.
the turbo could not move and started glowing.

so i got it to trun over on the compression test and i got 120 on all of them but number 3 is at 0 so im looking for a new motor
