95 talon tsi auto. Trying to find a list or diagram of the most basic wiring needed for my car to run. Im setting it up for drag racing only. Besides the obvious starting system and fuel pump. What sensors are necessary?

Assuming you're trying to do a wire tuck and eliminate some sensor connections? Every connection to the transmission is necessary and, off the top of my head, I compiled a list of the connections you'll need to keep that go out to the engine bay. Some connections/wiring isn't necessarily important for engine operation, however, it's a good idea to keep the wiring in the harness that way (depending on what EMS you're using) you can utiilize the wiring to log sensors in the future.
  • Injectors
  • Fuel Pressure Solenoid (for meth inj or nitrous controls in Link)
  • Injector Resistor Pack (unless you're running high-Z injectors)
  • Coil Pack
  • Power Transistor
  • ISC
  • EGR Solenoid (for meth inj or nitrous controls in Link)
  • Boost Control Solenoid (to run boost by gear through Link)
  • Rear o2 (for logging additional sensors in Link)
  • Front o2
  • MAF plug (only really need the IAT, Baro, and ground if you're running SD)
  • MDP (for logging additional sensors in Link)
  • Knock Sensor
  • Coolant Temp Sensor (ECU)
  • Coolant Temp Sensor (gauges)
  • TPS
  • VSS
  • CPS
  • CAS
  • Starter solenoid
  • Noise capacitor
That's all I can think of that you'll want/need to keep that goes out in the engine bay, it's all relative to what your plans are, though, to be honest.
