Ok so I got a 95 ECU and have dsmlink installed in it. Me and my buddy finally get the car together and i really want to drive. We plug the ecu in and let it hang from the wiring harness just for a few hours while i take it for a spin.... Then it happens.... The car dies and is just going nutz, the ecu was not grounded. We overlooked it somehow. So my buddy who is good with ecus and what not takes it back to his place to inspect the ecu... he finds nothing wrong but reburns the dsmlink chip to a new one for the ecu just to double check. I pray, plug it in the car, ground it. Fires with no problems! Two weeks pass, dsmlink kicks ass!!!!
THEN BOOM.
Driving down the road. Turn the car off. Try to turn back on, nothing. Car is doing what it did the previous night, the ECU is buzzing and electrical terminals in the motor bay are "clicking"
Anyone got any bright ideas?
Hes going to reburn it for me tommorw, he checked the ecu and code on the chip and everything looks OK
Maybe my ecu is bad because it wasnt grounded right the first night?
