Modifying 7 bolt motor mount in mirage for 6 bolt swap

Apparently the swap is just like into a 2g.. But for all previous thread it just says using your modified mount do this... I want to know how to modify it correctly. Its a newb question so thats why I posted in this section. Thanks to all that can help.

Do you still have the stock 6 bolt one to look at? If so hold them side by side and you will see that one bolt hole needs to be trimmed a little to keep out of the way of the water pump.

What he^ said. It's pretty much straight forward. If you have the engine out of the car, place the 2g mount up to it, as if you were going to bolt it on. the part of the mount that needs to be trimmed will jump out at you. If you have any other questions about this swap, pm me.

It's the part thats blocking the water pump. Put your mount on then put the water pump up to the block and you'll see what part needs trimmed.
