When i used my palm it worked fine: I broke my palm m130 recently so i had the idea of using a friend's laptop to log. We went to radioshack to get a adapter because the port on the computer and the port on the cable are both male. I connect the cable to the laptop, run the emulator, and when i try to log codes, it gives me a "serial comm error". The funny thing is, when i hit injectors on the test page, my motor responds and slightly misses. Does anyone have a fix for this problem? Thanks in advance

I couldn't get my laptop to log at all, until I realized that what I thought was a serial port actually ended up being some type of video connector that I had never used. Mine was a blue connector if that means anything.
