MMCD Stops Logging when I rev my motor.

So, I got a new MMCD logging cable. This one is USB and goes to a laptop. My old one went to an actual Palm.

When I rev the engine, it "pauses" and stops logging. I can't do any hard pulls and keep a log going.

Ideas?

it could be a messed up wire in your cable

Did the new cable come with a cd that you need to install drivers? Possibly check their website for updated ones if it didn't.

Can you hear ticking in your radio? What plugs are you running?
